Drypp — speaker cleaner & water eject · developed by Nordic Node
Last updated: 12 July 2026 · Effective: 12 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Nordic Node ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Drypp mobile application (the "App"), available on Google Play.
In short: the App works fully on your device and does not require an account, login, microphone, camera, or location. The only information that leaves your device is what is needed to show ads and to process an optional in-app purchase, both handled by Google. The details are below.
The App is provided by Nordic Node. For any privacy question or request, contact us at:
We designed the App to collect as little as possible. Here is exactly what is and is not involved.
This information stays in the App's private storage on your device. We cannot see it. It is removed when you uninstall the App (subject to any device backup you have enabled with Google).
The App shows ads through Google AdMob. To do so, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may access and share your device's Advertising ID and related technical data (such as approximate, non-precise location derived from your IP address, device type, and ad-interaction data). This is used to request and measure ads. See the Advertising section for how to control this.
If you buy Drypp Pro (a one-time purchase), the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive a confirmation that the purchase succeeded, but we do not receive or store your name, payment card, or billing address.
Unless you purchase Drypp Pro, the free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, and optional opt-in rewarded ads).
Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects through AdMob. To learn how Google uses this data, see Google's advertising and privacy information and the Google Privacy Policy.
| Permission | Why it is used |
|---|---|
INTERNET | Required to request ads and consent messages. |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Lets the ads SDK check for a connection before requesting an ad. |
AD_ID (advertising ID) | Allows the ads SDK to read the device Advertising ID for ad delivery and measurement. |
VIBRATE | Drives the vibration used by the speaker/water-eject function. No prompt; no data collected. |
The App requests no runtime ("dangerous") permissions — there are no permission pop-ups, and no microphone or location access.
The App relies on the following Google services, each governed by Google's own privacy terms:
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as described above: the Advertising ID and related ad data with Google for advertising, and purchase transactions with Google Play. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or the integrity of the App.
On-device settings and purchase status remain until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Data processed by Google (advertising and purchase data) is retained according to Google's own policies, linked above.
The App keeps its on-device data in private application storage. Network requests to Google's ad and billing services use encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information involved.
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent.
The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will address it.
Because advertising and purchases are handled by Google, the associated data may be processed on servers in countries other than your own, including the United States. Such transfers are carried out under Google's applicable safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.

Drypp is a utility that helps vibrate trapped water out of your phone's speaker using the same principle as a built-in water-eject feature. It is not a repair for hardware damage and makes no medical claims. This document describes data practices only.
